Professor Gregory Lara
His martial arts journey started when he was 9 years old in 1975 with the art of Kenpo karate. In 1980 he began to learn the art of Tae Kwon Do under world-renowned Grandmaster Dan K Choi. He competed at state and national competitions from 1980-1991, earning a 4th degree Black Belt from the World TKD Federation.
In 1991 he was introduced to the world of sport & full contact Karate, where he went on to win multiple National titles.
In 1996 Greg Lara started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) journey competing in many Tournaments that led to a tremendous amount of experience that he holds today. He had the privilege and honor to learn from iconic practitioners like Cesar Gracie, Vinny Magalhaes, Caio Terra, Fredson Paixao, and many great training partners along the way. He’s currently a BJJ 3rd degree Black belt.
Professor Greg Lara continues to learn, teach, and evolve as a Martial arts enthusiast and practitioner.
Today Professor Greg Lara finds his greatest joy and fulfillment in teaching and imparting his knowledge with students and friends.
